About Erica Barton, LPC, E-RYT 500, Online holistic somatic therapist in Oregon and Wyoming
Depth-oriented, feminist, somatic psychotherapist, experienced yoga therapist, and creator of Sacred Becoming
I offer transformative online therapy for women seeking real change across the states of Oregon and Wyoming
Therapy for women seeking depth: From anxious to embodied
How We’ll Work TOGETHER
Powerful modalities (Somatic (body-based) therapies, IFS parts work, and Brainspotting) for getting to the root of trauma and emotional wounding, for good. Read more about Brainspotting here.
I pull from other modalities as needed for each client, such as trauma-informed yoga therapy, depth psychology, mindfulness and self compassion, and attachment based work.
A warm relational space that is not stuffy, where you can feel understood and comfortable being yourself.
Embodied resources to feel and live into what you’ve learned.
Integration of themes, symbolism, story, pattern recognition, and creative exploration.
If you like homework in therapy, you’ll like it here!
I’m a depth oriented, feminist, somatic psychotherapist, and yoga therapist. I’m also a neuroscience and literature nerd, lover of animals, and an imperfect creative.
The spirituality I practice is more of the spiritual but not religious kind, the nature based, tarot/oracle decks, jungian archetypes and shadow work, yoga philosophy kind.
I love to hold space for deep, transformative healing, for women who are ready to move toward self-confidence, fulfilling relationships, and a life that feels meaningful and alive.
Why I do this Work:
The weight of the world can feel like too much sometimes. I believe healing isn’t linear. It’s ongoing, layered, and deeply personal.
I am deeply grateful that life has brought me to this work. I absolutely love the work I get to do with my clients every day. I’ll show up as a human who has had my own healing journey, and will walk with you as you find your own way. Sometimes, we need a nonjudgemental space where it’s safe to be seen, understood, and held in the vulnerability of healing.
What clients often experience
A deeper sense of grounding and presence in your body and daily life
Relief from stress, exhaustion, and burnout that lasts
More fulfilling, easeful relationships where you feel seen and nourished
A life that feels more spacious, intentional, and vibrant… and fully yours.
If you are located in Bend, Oregon or within the state of Oregon, I’m available for telehealth counseling sessions.
**You can be located anywhere for individual yoga therapy sessions online.**
Why did one of my clients tell me that in 10 years of deep study of meditation, she has never experienced a level of mental clarity and embodied peace, than she has after working with me? That she feels like she finally has missing puzzle pieces that have felt elusive for such a long time and she can move forward?
Simply put, this work goes beneath the surface and gets to the heart of things. Clients who work with me come away feeling a deeper sense of calm, confidence, and clarity than before. In the case of this client, even after 10 years of deep study of meditation.
Why is the work I do different?
I combine time honored wisdom from my 20 years of yoga studies and mindfulness, with modern neuroscience and trauma-informed approaches that speak to ALL layers of your being.
I not only work from a place of 15+ years of clinical experience and training, but personal experience. I’ve been there; stuck, trying to do all the right things but still feeling never enough: stressed, exhausted, and anxious. I know what it takes to come out on the other side, to a life that feels aligned, alive, and expansive.
Through personal and professional experience, I have seen time and again that we need a combination of approaches that is integrative, that can speak to different parts of your experience and promote embodiment and spiritual wholeness.
Working with therapists, teachers, and guides who not only have training and clinical experience, but also have embodied experience of the work they share, can be the difference between understanding the idea of healing, and embodying your own healing. You are a whole, multidimensional being. You deserve multidimensional care that comes from knowledge and experience.
The women I work with are undergoing big changes and ready to do things differently, ready to move from stressed and stuck, to confident and thriving.
I am invested in creating an inclusive environment, one that feels welcoming to all my clients with their own unique mosaic of intersecting identities. My clients are conscious, growth-oriented, and ready to break cycles of harm, while deepening their self-awareness and self-compassion.
I am dedicated to an anti-oppressive therapy practice, which includes my own continuous learning and un-learning. As humans, we exist within a greater system that influences us at every level of our being- mental, emotional, physical, social, ecological, and spiritual. I approach healing from a perspective that considers all of these levels of being, and I work to create a collaborative experience that empowers you on your journey of liberation and healing.
